The 3 Golden Rules
Meet in Person
Whenever possible, meet the seller in a public place. Inspect the item thoroughly before handing over money.
Stay on Bazar
Keep all communication and payments within our platform or reputable apps like TWINT. Never move to WhatsApp or email.
Never Send Cash
Avoid mailing cash or using insecure transfer services like Western Union. If it feels too good to be true, it probably is.
⚠️ Common Scams to Watch For
A buyer sends a fake payment confirmation for more than the asking price and asks you to refund the difference. Never refund money you haven't actually received in your account.
A buyer claims they are too busy to pick up the item and will send a "courier agent" who will also bring the cash in an envelope. This is almost always a phishing attempt to get your address or insurance fees.
Be wary of SMS or emails claiming to be from Bazar asking you to click a link to "confirm a payment" or "verify your account." Always check the URL in your browser.
See something suspicious?
If you encounter a suspicious listing, rude behavior, or a potential scammer, please report it immediately. Our Trust & Safety team works 24/7 to keep Bazar safe.
